Aircraft I've Flown

  • G-BHZH Cessna 152

The aircraft I had my introductory flight and first proper flying lesson in, as well as many other flights during training and since.

It's now based in Newquay with a shiny new paint job and features in JustFlight's C152 for x-plane.

  • G-BSTO Cessna 152

This is the aircraft I spent the most hours on during my PPL training, including all of the solo nav routes, my solo cross country qualifier and my PPL skills test!

Sadly in 2023 it had it's certificate of airworthiness revoked due to corrosion, and I still can't quite believe it - given it's the one I got my licence in I really have a soft spot for this one & I'm devastated it's no longer flying! :(

  • G-BTSJ PA28

The first PA28 I flew, & the first 4 seater I flew solo. It became of the of the aircraft I flew regularly, after getting my PPL when I wanted to take more than one person up with me. It's now based in Exeter, with Aviation South West.

  • G-BJCA PA28

Like SJ above, this is a PA28 I flew regularly after getting my PPL, including taking my Nan up in it! Not sure where this one is now based.

  • G-BUIJ PA28

Similarly to SJ & CA, this is a PA28 I flew regularly after getting my PPL as Plymouth Flying School did have three for a while!

  • G-BUEG Cessna 152

The one I did first ever solo flight in at 16 - I've only flown it twice, both on that day, but it was very memorable!

  • G-IANJ Cessna 150

I did most of my PPL navigation training in this one, including a trip to Cardiff. Believe it's now based in Wales.

  • G-BFVU Cessna 150

Only had two sessions in this one, both at Exeter, to familiarise with that airport ahead of my first solo there.

  • G-AVAR Cessna 150

I only had one flight in this aircraft as it was a temporary visitor to Plymouth, sadly this one too now no longer has its CofA.

  • G-BNMB PA28

Flew this one on an SEP revalidation flight at Exeter after a lengthy break, and then a couple more flight after taking friends up, it was in blue when I flew it but I believe it's now been re-painted and no longer in Exeter.

  • G-OYIO Robin DR400/120

The first Robin aircraft I ever flew in, with the Robin Flying Group at Exeter, quite a change from the C152s and PA28s I was used to, with a much better view out of the cockpit, only actually flew this one once though.

  • G-CEKO Robin DR400/100

The second Robin I flew, and have a few more flights in this one than IO. Mostly familiarisation flights to get used to the different handling and procedures of the Robin Flying Group, until covid hit and so flying stopped for a while.
