04 Apr 2004My first proper flying Lesson, and I am now a student pilot. It was very windy when during this lesson, almost too windy to fly. It started with a briefing going over what we’d be covering on the flight, and after we’d had that, the wind had dropped a little, taking it within limits. So we went up for about 40 minutes after taking off on runway 24, flying over the city and towards Plymouth hoe, before practising flying straight and level and trimming the plane. My instructor did the landing which was quite smooth considering how strong the wind was.
