Lesson 2 PPL
26 Apr 2004This lesson built on the last one, and was all about flying straight and level at different speeds, power settings, and taxing. I started the engine unde the guidance of my instructor, then taxied the plane out to runway 13 turned round and then held the controls for the take off (which the intsructor did).
We flew over towards burgh island and then went up and down between there and Ivybridge doing exercises at about 2000ft.
After that I flew the plane round the traffic pattern at 1000ft Then flew it in on the approach to runway 13 and my instructor did not do anything other than talk me through the aproach, he did not even touch the controls until we were about 20-30ft above the runway and all he did was pull back a little and then brought the plane to a stop on the runway so almost I landed it on my 2nd Lesson!
