Lesson 3 PPL
16 May 2004This lesson was almost the same as last one. I started the engine again, following a checklist, taxied out to runway 13 held the controls for takeoff (again with my instructor actually doing it), flew out to burgh island again and practiced what I was doing in the last lesson. I then practiced flying straight and level with flaps down (not very easy!)
As we came back to the airport, my instructor requested to fly in the overhead for a while, and then asked me to circle the airport for about 5 minutes so he could take some pictures of the runway extension that was being built.
After that we re-joined the circuit and I flew the approach again but his time my instructor did not take the controls at all, and I landed the plane by myself! it was a big bump because I let the nose drop just before the main wheels touched, but not bad for a first attempt!
