Lesson 4 PPL

23 May 2004

This lesson was all about climbing and descending. I did everything as before, started the engine taxied out of the turning circle at runway 24 for the pre-flight checks then out onto runway 13 held the controls for takeoff again.

This time my instructor wanted to take a few pics of an industrial estate up in Exeter that’s where we flew! On the way there I was practicing climbing and descending (both a glide decent and powered decent)

Once we got to the industrial estate, I did a couple of orbits around it, as my instructor took some photos - all good practice for level turns!

On the way back I was practicing climbing and descending with flaps extended.

I flew the approach again back to runway 13 and I landed again by myself but this time it was very smooth because I didn’t let the nose drop (the right back wheel came down first) and my instructor said it was really good for a second landing!!
